try doing white wash feture in options see if u can get it out this way 1st before having to take aprt cheak cables are using old style sumtimes they do get glitch do factory reset thx for using fix ya . nick

Look to see PIP or picture in picture is not engaged as it may be doing this.

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER

reset the projector,if it doesnt help,its probly got to do with ur dlp colour wheel.

Bring set to service shop, because in this case happens twoo things: 1)module defects and 2)some problem connection between module and driver

We originally had a red stripe roughly 3" wide running vertically on the ride edge area of our Panasonic 52" Viera plasma tv. It has now been joined by a solid black stripe of the same width running from the top to the bottom. Living in Germany and purchased at local PX long enough ago that the warranty is likely expired. Now what?

The bad news, it sounds like tou have a bad plasma panel.One of the vertical drive arrays are in the process of failing.This part is part of the display panel.

It could be the Logic board or/and one of the Logic Scan board failure. Parts availability depends on maker and may cost any where between $250 - $500. Labour depends on shop. Hope that'll help you. Good luck.
