Water Freezing in bottom of Freezer and dripping out front of freezer door

I noticed water dripping out my freezer door onto the floor. I emptied the freezer and noticed the entire bootom of freezer door is ice (over 1 inch thick. I defrosted freezer and cleaned up everything and turned the freezer back on (with ice maker still turned off). Within 12 hours I noticed 1/4 inch of frozen water on bottom of freezer. It appears to be coming from the back of the freezer from vents located near the bottom.

What is the issue?

How do you determine if it's the defrost timer or the defrost heater.

Have a side by side GE Profile. Ice builds up between the inside back panel and the outside pack panel. Also ice on the walls and bottom panel of the freezer . Could hear the fan blades hitting ice build up in the rear of the freezer section.

This could either be a blocked drain from the freezer not allowing defrost water to escape or the defrost heater failing to turn on due to a faulty defrost heater or defrost timer not enabling the water to escape

I have a top freezer that drips water in front of the refrigerator door. Could it be bad gaskets?

If it drips down the front surface of the door, it could be two things. Either the gasket to the freezer isn't sealing properly or the heater in the door frame has failed. It should feel just warm.

Leaks inside are a blocked or partially blocked defrost drain.

Water is slowly dripping onto the floor from the bottom of the freezer door. it is as if the door is full of water. any suggestions?

ARe the temperatures good inside the freezer? If they are not near 0° F, that is the cause of the water drip.

If it is nice and cold in freezer, check freezer floor, is there a sheet of ice? you have a clogged defrost drain, clear it or have it cleared for you.

Good temps no ice on freezer floor? possible water leak inside door from water dispenser

Kenmore side by side water leaking from freezer

You can buy a kit from whirlpool. In the kit is a metal tab that mounts onto the defrost heater. It is long enough to go into the hole. When the heater comes on for defrost the heat transfers down to the hole and keeps it from getting plugged up with ice. Part number 819043

I have a top freezer model and every morning their is a small pool of water in front on the floor. I checked the bottom tray in the back and drip tube and they seem to be ok. I noticed in the door that...

These doors are not water cooled. Is there water in the drip pan? Likely not and the drain is froze over with ice. you will have to remove the rear panel inside the freezer and clean the drain. There is most likely ice under the freezer floor that needs removed also. Take your time and do not damage the styrofoam separator and air channels.

Samsung Fridge Freezer leaking water

hi August.
Cause: A blocked defrost drain is one of the most common causes of water leakage. This happens when food particles or other debris clogs up the drain hose, which can lead to ice buildup and, eventually, water leaking out of the freezer and refrigerator.
3 common refrigerator problems you can easily fix yourself

The freezer drain hose will drain the defrost water into a drip pan at the bottom of the freezer. When this pan becomes full, it will leak water onto the floor. This is a regular maintenance task whenever the freezer defrosts. Empty the drip pan during the defrost cycle.
How to Fix Water Leaking From the Bottom of Freezer

Why is my fridge leaking water on the floor? If the refrigerator is leaking water it's possible that the refrigerator has a clogged or freezing defrost drain. If the defrost drain freezes the defrost water will overflow the drain and drip down to the bottom of the compartment, If enough water accumulates in the bottom it can run out onto the floor.
