I have an old Elite 4200 36X40 scope and it is missing the front threaded lense cover. Where can I get One?

If you mean dirt on the inside of the lenses like mould growing cheaper to buy a new scope or if flaking internals get a quote for repair

there is an air leak on this scope and bamp air has got inside it,,all you can do is strip the scope out clean all the lenses and re-gas it,,,,to be honest,,,its a bust bin job now!

i think you have a fungus growing on the lenses inside of the scope all you can do it have it striped and cleaned then re-gased,,and thats pricy

You are missing the 2 inch to 1.25 inch adapter, that fits into the focuser so you can use 1.25 inch eyepieces.

You can try to clear this your self. You will need a good sized clear plastic bag, say kitchen trash can size. You will need to get your hands on some nitrogen gas or you can also use carbon dioxide gas. You will need some good electrical contact grease or Vaseline will also work. Take the focus lens off of your scope, (This means unscrew it from the scope body) let it dry out a day or so. Now ck for any o-rings on the scope body some will have a small o-ring - like a good flash light the good metal kind, and try to find new if it has one if you can, put the grease on the screw threads. Put all the scope parts in the bag and pump up the bag with your nitrogen and tie off the bag but leave room so you can screw the lens back on once it has set for a little bit in the gas. This should let gas stay inside the scope so no moisture can get back inside to fog it up. Try that, sounds crazy but it will work.

If you completely disassembled the scope then it is compromised they have a special gas mixture inside for fogging and clarity so if they were removed you are likely better off with a new one out of reference what kind of scope is it

You are not missing any lens. All astronomical telescopes present the image upside down and reversed. This is normal--- no up or down in space!

depends on maker of scope, some models only come with i year, that should be the first warning, if you want to try something before going back where it was purchased ....take a q-tip put just a dab of alcohol on it, touch eyepiece lense with it, now turn around to dry side of q-tip and clean lense very lightly. this may do it where its 8 years old. you never mentioned the kind of scope.hope this [email protected]

When you say lens, did you unscrew the eye piece or the actual lense? because the eyepiece is meant to fit your adaptor for 35mm cameras etc. but the actual front lense should be tightly sealed and thread locked to make your glass (scope) waterproof to some extent and to protect the alignment of the other lenses within your scope. If it is possible your local camera shop may have the ability to re-align and seal your scope, but if not do you have a warranty? and if not even that, if i were you i would align and accraglass your piece back together, it's a last ditch solution that should last for years.
