My mom gave me a euro-pro 1495 and I can't get it to heat up. It also looks like it has a removable sole plate extension but I can't figure out how to get it off. Is there an online manual available?

Check the hose for something clogging it. It will be past the flattened area (by that I mean further from the steam cleaner). It sounds like something got stuck in the hose, and as the steam cleaner kept sucking on the hose, it caused the hose to flatten.

the problem of your iron could be from the element and the wire ,the element is the heat provider while the wire is the power supply from the electric

But the fact is that ,the problem of your iron is disconnection of element from the wire what you need to do fix it to unscrew your iron and trace the wire down to the element and see the disconnection am toking about and fix it back
