I am in Alaska and can not get the machine to a repair person at a reasonable cost.
I am getting a message that reads "unit 11 laser polygon motor failure" then it scrolls through the following messages Print cartridge 4 is missing, Print cartridge 3 is missing, Print cartridge 2 is missing, Print cartridge 1 is missing
Is it possible to buy a new "laser polygon motor" and replace that part of the machine myself. It costs an unreal amount to ship the machine down south
Thank you - Renee
Most likely, all the problems you are experiencing are being caused by a bad laser motor assembly. We can send you a motor assembly for the laser unit and you can change it out yourself, however, we will have to charge for the entire unit since it makes one laser unit worthless. You would save on shipping that way. Aligning the lasers is a little tricky, but doable.

motor
Replace the polygon motor.
Replace the MCU PWB.
If the polygon motor isn't working then you will neeto buy a new Laser Unit. They can be expensive if you can get one. To replace it will tak alot of disassembly as well. Might be better and more cost effective to get a new machine.
