My New Balance 1400 treadmill recently stopped working. There is power going to the motor. The lights are on but there is no power to the display. nothing lights up and none of eh controls work. The treadmill is about 2 years old and not used all that much. Any ideas.

It sound like either the wire harness that goes to upper console is bad or the Motor Control Board that has the 5v or 12v is missing. Here is the bad news New Balance is out of the Treadmill business and do not carry these items anymore. Their might be one other thing you might try is that if this unit was not maintain as owner's manual suggests, then the fuse may have open up. You must open the motor shroud locate motor control board find the fuse, if you have a multi meter check continuity of the fuse if open replace it with the same value ( maybe 15amps). Plug unit in if the display returns then proceed to do the prescribe maintenance in owner's hopefully that the belt and deck was not damaged when it went dead.
