Re: DeWalt 18V XRP Cordless Drill Driver. Should performance of the drill slow as battery becomes weaker? My drill works fine for quite some time then suddenly loses all power, even the light won't work. I put a second battery or recharge the old one and it works fine again. Is this normal for a Nano Phosphate Lithium Ion battery?

Sale-batteries.org.uk sales cheap Dewalt battery is very reliable, charges quickly, and gets the job done. We use it in a flashlight and a drill, works great!

Yes. It's kind of like a flashlight when your batteries get low the light get dim, but if you replace the batteries light gets bright again. The drill will get weak as battery get low.

Yes, when a battery is being used for a long time, you need to let it cool down and take it to charged. Although there is many fast charger now, but in order to protect the battery, I recommend you to buy a second battery for replace.

And, if you do not know where to find the right one? Here is some suggestion for your Dewalt DC920KA Battery

I bought new batteries for ,my dewalt dw958 drill and when I put the battery in, the drill ran for about 45 seconds then started to smoke and the drill died. The batteries are dewalt 18v xrp batteris

I am thinking the switch or motor is bad, check the switch first. you can locate parts at dewaltservicenet.com. Make a wiring diagram before removing anything, these parts are polarity sensitive.

Dewalt 18v XRP Hammer drill cause battery to burn, I'm talking flames and smoke. Motor run in both direction.

I hope this drill is still under warranty as the battery is in serious trouble. As long as the motor is turning, it should not be causing the battery to do this. Hope this helps!

Dewalt cordless drill

You have burned out the drill motor, it is shorted, the battery smoked due to a direct short, one thing I don't understand why the thermal limiter didn't trip in battery pack, I would contact manufacturer and try to get hem to buy you a new drill.
