LG Tromm washer I get the error code LE. The washer starts and tries to spin but acts like it is caught. I have tried it empty and it does the same thing. It also makes a funny noise which I can only describe as a hydraulic noise. Any ideas?

I cleaned that and drained it but the tub still will not spin. I can spin it easily by hand but when you try to run a cycle it locks up, Guess a repairman is in my future

I pulled the drain at the bottom left and the small hose seems to be full of dirt. Any idea how to fix that or why that happened?

  • Anonymous May 10, 2011

That is not all that uncommon....dirt just finds places to stay and hangs on... causing all sorts of problems...basically cleaning that out is routine maintenance...

Yup sounds like you have bigger problems...

There have been alot of these going bad...

I have a LG Tromm with an LE error code. I just replaced the hall sensor

With a digital volt meter you need to measure the ohms value of the hall sensor. It has 4 wires. White red blue and gray. With the meter set at 20k ohms check hall sensor at the control panel. From white to blue you should read 9.5 K ohms. Same with white to red. If u get 9.5k ohms on both readings u have a bad main board. However to me I think your pump is bad. LG washers will not spin if they don't drain.

Annoying LG Tromm wm2277hw "LE error" won't go away.

Might be "tE" error code. Thermistor error. A $6 parts and pretty common and causes the symptoms you described.

I have an LG Tromm washer. I start it up it start

Hi,

LE code stands for locked motor error. When this error code appears in your front load washer it indicates a fault in the motor unit.

1 . Check the connections to the Coil/Stator at the rear of the unit possibly it should be something like a broken wire.

2 . Coil/Stator Assembly will be defective preventing the drive to operate. You should go for a replacement of that assembly.

Thank you !!

Peace,
ngafm at your service!

Lets try this first!
Unplug the washer for 5 minutes and then replug and try it to see if this reboots the system like when a computer acts up, we do the same thing for most electronic devices!
If for some reason this is not helpful, open the user guide and see what the tell you is the meaning of a code"le" on your specific machine!
How old is the washer?

I'm here all night if you want to write me back!
