This is a common problem on these printers, the solution involves taking it apart which may not be for you but if you fancy giving it a go then follow the instructions in the PDF below from HPs site...

Make sure the all colour are one brand. if yes, change the rad one,
to be more confident you change with the cartridge,
but I m sure that is not solid ink liquid with "paper" and other ink,
sometime the kind of paper can be influential,

My CP1515n colour laser is giving faded colours. The left side of the print is very faded whereas the rest of the print is slightly faded

There are two reasons for faded prints. Firstly, faded print could be due to exhausting toner.
If it you have faded prints even after replacing the toner cartridge or if your current cartridge has enough toner, it is most likely be due to dust/ toner dust accumulated at the laser reflecting mirrors inside the printers,
which partially blocks laser beams and requires cleaning/ servicing by a professional.
Hence, it is recommended that you get the printer checked/ serviced from authorized service center.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

This printer has stopped printing reds and oranges correctly ? they are faded. Changed the toners & no difference

Print a "Config Report" from the printers menu...If u notice that the fourth square on the left side (fourth being the bottom square) for Magenta (reds and orange) is missing or very faded, this could indicate that the optical mirrors inside the printer have to be cleaned...Design flaw. ESP..if changing toners doesn't work and your your faded issue is with Magenta (Pink, red, or orange) colours are the only faded ones...With this design flaw in the optical mirrors, magenta mirror is the first to be affected!
Hope this helps!!!! I work in the industry :)

Red colour fades on both left and right sides of the page. Other colours print fine.

It's probably a dirty laser scanner. The magenta is most pron to this type of problem. Here's a link for instructions. http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/bizsupport/getattachment.do?attachmentId=297096&ext=.pdf
