Try unplugging the DVD player from the outlet for 2-3 minutes to reset the unit. If this doesn't help, the player probably needs to be serviced.
I hope this helps.

(if the unit is out of warranty, you could try opening the case and removing the DVD drive. There should be a manual ejection button hidden on the front of the drive. Unfortunately, doing this to get your DVD out voids the warranty, if it is still under warranty. Each manufacturer puts this button in a different place. On computer drives, the faceplate has a hole to indicate the spot. The ejection usually takes some force with a straightened paperclip (or small allen wrench).)
Look ladies!!! (and gents) - don't give up. I have no special skills at fixing stuff and I got the tray on my Toshiba Sd 6100 to open. Here's what you do. I pried the front off of the drive - you know the cover where the disk goes in (first). The long thin pretty cover that is on the front when you put the disk in. Long thin black piece just goes pop when you pull on it. Now it's not pretty anymore but so what. Then take the 5 screws out that hold the top of the DVD player on. This requires a decent phillips head screwdriver and some muscle. I got the screws out and I'm my arms are weak as are lots of females. Then you will see the DVD player box there. Look at the front carefully and find those things that look like gears - white round gear looking things that are actually wheels with teeth. Take a regular screwdriver and move the big gear a little bit at a time and presto your DVD will be free. Then just move the Open/load button a few times and it's fixed. I hope this helps - from Pam
