Question about Spectroniq PLTV3250 32 in. LCD TV

Watching TV and went through house, when I came back in to the room I noticed TV on but no sound. Checked cables, mute, and other TVs n the house. Other TVs have sound but my Spectronic does not! HELP!!!!! My 4yo is wearing me out wanting to hear SpongeBob.

Hi,

connect a DVD player to the TV. If you still do not have sound, connect a headset to the TV. If there is no sound coming from the headset, it means your TV is have a defective sound ic.

When the sound ic is defective, you cannt hear any sound from the TV because the sound ic is responsible for bring out sound through the speaker.

You should take the TV back to Bestbuy when you get the chance... Tv could of came defective from the factory. They should be able to exchange for a new one if you explain the problem to them.

I suggest you check the satellite receiver first, you can use the component or HDMI cable for the satellite receiver to check it. If still no sound, the TV main board is defective.

These are the answers straight from the dell manual. Ensure that the audio cables are firmly connected to both the audio input connectors on your LCD TV and audio output connectors on your PC or Video player. If on certain TV channels you receive a picture but no sound, this means that you do not have the correct TV system. Modify the SYSTEM setting. Check if TV volume is turn off of muted Connect the audio cable securely Audio cable is connected incorrectly Verify that the audio source is selected correctly in the OSD
