If it is currently on your network you can use this utility: http://www.radmin.com/products/ipscanner/. It will scan your local network for attached devices. With it you can find the ip of your WAP and access it.

Under Windows 7, press the "Start" button.
Type 'cmd' into the search-box, and press ENTER.
Type 'ipconfig /all', and press ENTER.
Look for the IP-address for the "gateway" (or "DHCP-server").
Type that IP-address into your web-browser.

Reset cisco airnet 1130ag

There are 2 ways to reset the access point.

Using the MODE Button

Follow these steps to delete the current configuration and return all access point settings to the factory defaults by using the MODE button:

1. blank.gifOpen the access point cover

2. blank.gifDisconnect power from the access point (the power jack for external power or the Ethernet cable for in-line power).

3. blank.gifPress and hold the MODE button while you reconnect power to the access point.

4. blank.gifContinue pressing the MODE button until the Ethernet LED turns amber. (approximately 2 to 3 seconds). Then release the button.

5. blank.gifAfter the access point reboots, you must reconfigure it using the web browser interface, the Telnet interface, or the access point console port.
Using the Web Browser Interface

Follow these steps to delete the current configuration and return all access point settings to factory defaults using the web browser interface:

1. blank.gifOpen your Internet browser. You must use Microsoft Explorer (version 5.x or later) or Netscape Navigator (version 4.x or later).

2. blank.gifEnter the access point IP address in the browser address line, and press Enter. An Enter Network Password screen appears.

3. blank.gifEnter the username Cisco in the User Name field.

4. blank.gifEnter the password Cisco in the Password field and press Enter. The Summary Status page appears.

5. blank.gifClick System Software. The System Software screen appears.

6. blank.gifClick System Configuration. The System Configuration screen appears.

7. blank.gifClick the Reset to Defaults button.

Note blank.gifIf the access point is configured with a static IP address, the IP address does not change.

8. blank.gifAfter the access point reboots, you must reconfigure it.

Configuration

The best way to set this access point is to connect your computer directly to the device via Ethernet, disble the wireless adapter temporarily on the computer. Since this is just an access point and not a wireless router, it is not capable of providing your computer with an IP address because it has no DHCP functionality.

The IP address you mentioned is the deafault IP address of the access point, there is a posibility that the default IP has been change.

Do a reset on the access point then assign an IP address manually on your computer(i.e 192.168.1.x x- bein any number from 1 to 254 except 50)

Access the AP using Internet Explorer or Firefox, type http://192.168.1.50 on the address bar it should prompt you for a username and password(check you documentation for the default username and password for the access point)

WAP4400N access

Hello,

Do you have a DHCP server, like on your router, or on another computer on your LAN ?

If you don't know if you have a dhcp server or not... in windows, you can go to: Start>run>cmd, then type: ipconfig /all
That will tell you what ip address your dhcp server is.

If so do you see the access point trying to get an address? Check your logs, if you have a DHCP server chances are the access point (AP) already has an address.

Another thing you can do, is hold... i think it is a red button in the back, if you hold it for 30 seconds i think.. it will reset your AP back to its default settings.

DWL-2100 AP will not reset to factory defaults with reset push. Ideas?

Once reset right click on the connection in the task bar ( icon with two computers) click status, click properties, scroll down and select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), click properties, click use the following IP address:, and add the following:

IP: 192.168.0.66
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.0.50

Click OK, OK, and Close, Now Enter 192.168.0.50 in internet explorer and it will work. You can now change all the settings you wish to.

Hope this Helps

WEP KEY

disabling WEP security is not a great idea, unless you plan on replacing it with WPA. As for your request, please open a Browser and enter 182.168.1.1 into your address bar and hit enter. I can't seem to recall exactly where the setting is, but you will come across it if you look through the router admin page. Hope this helps.
