Be careful here. New choke wires are expensive! spray white lithium grease into the choke assemply up at the handle, then follow the cable down to the engine, extend the choke cable inside the outer cable housing and try to get it lubricated white WD-40 or white lith gease. spary everything at the chole area with WD-40 OUTSIDE only - operate the choke manually and carefully a few times and git mowin!

Engine starts sputters then shuts off

probably a dirty carb. or if this problem is occuring when the engine has been run and is hot and its the new style easy start engine with auto choke ( no primer or choke lever) then the auto choke unit coud be faulty

How do I adjust the transmission speed of a Toro self propelled lawn mover. I move the control lever to N eutal and it slows a little..but it is moving too fast to keep up with it.

On mine there is wing nuts on the end of the rods that move up and down when you push the handle forward. You just back the wing nuts off a little and then try it. If its still going too fast do it a little more.
