Your card is probably good. Go into the camera's setup menu and find the picture storage or memory section. Select external memory as default and you should be good to go.

Hello,
First of all, which region do you live in?
Basicaly, PAL and NTSC are standards for TVs that differ depending on the region of the world. The American continent is NTSC, Europe is PAL, and i'm not quite sure about the specifics of every region, but this information should be easy to obtain.
You can go in the config section of your camera and switch the video settings to PAL or NTSC, depending on which you need.
As for your videos, which method are you using to copy your files to your computer? I've got this same camera and the simplest way (as for any camera) is to insert the SD card in your laptop and copy-paste the files where you want them to be.
If you don't have a SD card slot, you can get your hands on a USB adapter, or simply try using the provided camera to USB cable and copy the files from the same method, if it allows you to access your files directly.
I hope it helps!
Have a nice day!
