I've installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled the software for my HP 5590 scanner, but apparently it has no Solutions Center. It keeps telling me:
No HP Devices have been detected. Solutions Center will now close.
It may happen if you are using HP Scanjet 5590 scnaner on windows XP. I suggest you to completely uninstlal the scanner software and then install the version 9.0 from the below link. It is the updated version for Vista but work on XP system..
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=15179&prodSeriesId=377689&prodNameId=377691&swEnvOID=2093&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=sj-49436-1
Also, please connect the scanner only when it prompts to do so.
Hope it will work and 5590 scanner works with XP.
One more thing to try after you've completely uninstalled all hp related software and reinstalled it. Make sure hpqcxs08 is running. Start menu, Run, type services.msc and scroll down to hpqcxs08 and double click on it and set start up type to automatic and start it. Reboot and hopefully your solutions center will now see the printer. I have a c4480 and have seen every error. The 96% fatal error, solutions center will now close error and some other ones.

I have the same problem all of a sudden with my C3150 AIO. I can still scan with it through my CorelDRAW software and I can still print to it, I just can't open the Solution Center
Have you installed the WIA version of the software?
