How do i get the progressive scan off

Once the setting for progressive scan output is entered, an image will only be visible on a progressive scan compatible TV or monitor.

If you set Progressive Scan to On in error, you must reset the unit.

1) Remove any disc from the unit and close the disc tray. See that 'dISC' is displayed on the display window.

2) Press STOP (on front of unit) and hold it for more than five seconds before releasing it (10 seconds is better).

The video output should be restored to the standard default setting (interlace) and a picture will once again be visible on a conventional analogue TV or monitor.

Hopefully that solves your problem.

Cannot turn off progressive scan mode on blue screen to play dvd

If you have not already seen this or done it - it worked for us:

On page 18 of the user manual under Progressive scan there is a Caution which says - If you set Progressive Scan to On in error, you must reset the unit. 1) Remove any disc from the unit and close the disc tray. See that "dISC " is displayed on the display window. 2) Press STOP (9) and hold it for more than five seconds before releasing it. The video output will be restored to the standard setting and a picture once again be visible on a conventional analog TV or monitor.

Brand screen shows for a long time before it loads settings.

Try taking out the harddrive and putting it in another computer. Boot up the computer and see if window does a scan disc for errors before booting the system if it does then you know that something corrupted your system. the next step is to allow the other computer fix the hard drive with repair disc tools in the properties of the harddrive.Do a scan disc and automatic fix errors scan. Also do a scan disc and restore bad sectors fix. Do a complete of the defrag of the disc.If this is not the problem. You will need to check the bios ans see if it has become corrupted. check all the functions and see if anything has changed from your original settings. If it has do a restore by loading default settings.Try to boot up your computer and remove any new programs you may have downloaded just before you started having the problems. If you cannot boot go into the bios again and change the boot sequence to disc and load the windows disc to boot in safe mode to try to remove the programs.See if the system restores to normal operations. If not use the discs repair function to fix problems with windows that may have happened from the corruption. This problem could also be a hardware problem like a bad power supply or motherboard. These should be tested for problems before doing all the windows and hardrrive testing. Just to make sure you are not going in the wrong direction with the repair. Check the power supply with a power supply tester to see if it is working correctly, check to see if its is full of dust and dirt tha maybe affecting its operation. do a check of the condition of the motherboard for bad components like capacitors that maybe causing a problem with voltage regulation to the boards processors.Check the main processor and its heatsink and make sure that it is seated properly and the fan is working correctly. If all this look good and working, then work on the harddrive and windows problems.Be sure to test the operation of the system after each fix or repair to see if you have foun the problem.I hope this helps you with your problem.

First, download the software at http://www.box.net/shared/4yblbn34kg

Secondly, to run the software your printer has to be in service mode. Do that by
- unplug cable
- press and hold "power" button
- plug cable
- press "resume" and release
- release the "power" button
At this stage, your computer will detect a new hardware

Run the software.

Progressive scan

This happened to me & I finally found a manual online that I could download.

Here's what the manual says:

"If you set Progressive Scan to On in error, you must reset the unit.

1) Remove any disc from the unit and close the disc tray. See that "NO DISC" is displayed on the display window.

2) Press STOP and hold it for five seconds before releasing it. The video output will be restored to the standard setting and a picture will once again be visible on a conventional analog TV or monitor."

Glad I could help because this problem is very annoying!
