* Method 1 (Works if you are not using the admin account : Easiest method)
1. Reboot your machine.
2. Press F8 before the Windows boot screen appears. Do not press F5 as used on the NT/9x ser of Windows. You will be be prompted with a boot options menu.
3. Select the Start Windows in Safe Mode option.
4. Click through several self-explanatory screens until your reach the familiar 'Welcome' screen.
* Note that this welcome screen is limited to 256 colors and 640x480 resolution because the primary graphics will have been set to the Windows Safe Mode software VGA adapter. You will not be able to change this mode even in Display options, while Windows is running in Safe Mode.
5. Find the icon for the Administrator user. If the default settings of your system haven't been changed, there should be no password for this account.
6. The Safe Mode Welcome screen might display some of the other users on your system.
7. Login as the admin.
8. Press Yes at the prompt asking if you would like to continue using Safe Mode.
9. Continue on to the User Settings control panel. Here you can change any of the other passwords for user on the machine. Make any changes you want.
10. Reboot your computer. As long as you don't press any keys (e.g. F8) during the boot-up the computer will startup normally.
11. 11Login as the user for which you set the password.
12. If the above doesn't work, you can try to use professional support recommendation OPHCrack (freeware) to crack your windows password without erasing anything.
Setting new password
1. Open the Control Panel.
2. Click the User Account.
3. Select the account you want to to set a new password.
4. Click changing Account and set up password, then fill out the form as listed. Click Create Password.
5. You now have a personal login ID and Password. No one has a right to login to your computer without this info.
* Method 2 : (Safest Crack without loosing data)
1. Reset Windows Password with Windows Password Recovery Tool.
2. Download Windows Password Recovery Tool from Password Recovery Official site
3. Decompress the Windows password Recovery Tool and note that there is an .ISO image file. Burn the image file onto an blank CD with the burner freely supported by Password Seeker.
4. Insert the newly created CD into the locked computer and re-boot it from the CD drive.
5. After launched the CD, a window pop up with all your account names(if you have several accounts) select one of the accounts that you have forgotten its password to reset it. Just one press, you have removed the password.
* Method 3 : (reset password)
Reset Windows Password with Windows Password Reset.
1. Download and install Windows Password Reset.
2. Run the program and burn a password recovery CD/DVD or USB flash drive.
3. Set your computer to boot from CD/DVD or USB.
4. Reset your forgotten or lost password.
5. Log on your computer with no password.

You can use Windows Password Breaker to help you create a Windows password recovery DISK to reset admin password. it's easy and safe, no data loss.
You need to use another computer.
1) Grab a blank CD ready to burn
2) Search online (google) for a Windows Commander CD; download the ISO image.
3) Search online for ISO burning software (good example is UltraISO).
4) put the blank CD in the burner drive; and wait for windows to ask what to do.
Cancel the what to do window; go and browse for the ISO file (whereever you saved it),
and right click on it, and select BURN to CD.
5) wait for the CD to write....
6) Put the freshly burned CD into the drive of your 'broken' computer; and restart the machine.
7) Upon restart, you should be prompted to start the computer from the CDROM, press any key to continue - say YES.
wait for windows to boot from the CD, takes a while...
8) you should be presented with a 'similar to' windows desktop.
9) click on start>all programs>security tools>locker box.
select the admin account, click on change password.
go through the rest of the wizard and when you hit finish, the password for 'administrator' is set to "" (blank password).
restart the machine again (remove the cd from the drive) and boot into windows normally; login as administrator (no password) and you should be in. and able to reset user passwords through the windows control panel as per normal.
