Take a look at www.televisioninfo.com. They test tvs and calibrate them beforehand to get the best performance. Picture settings are given in the review. If they havent tested your model, they may have tested a similar one.

Best picture settings samsung ln19b360c5d

Hi Jim,
Best picture setting is the one which pleases you and is comfortable to your eyes. So pick up the remote control and set the picture to your liking.

laurenkristy,

You have a bad color wheel. The lamp may also need replaced depending on how old the set is and the number of hours. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4251975-replace_dlp_light_engine which will help you replace the light engine and give the best place to get a replacement. I also have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4251975-replace_dlp_light_engine which explains when you need to replace your lamp, why and where to get the best price.

Thanks for using FixYa and for the great rating.

Hi! i just purchased a Samsung SyncMaster P2370HD P2570HD flat screen tv and I was wondering if you are able to tell me the correct settings to put on the TV to get the best picture? The picture does not...

Hi Suzette my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
First of all make sure you have an HD signal connected.
These days using a non HD box will produce a bad picture on an HD TV.
If using a cable/Dish box set the output resolution to 1081i only,
for picture controls set them all center and max out the picture/contrast control

If I have helped you with your issue please click accept.

Best tv settings for samsung LE40A457

Best is kind of subjective since each person's eyes are different. If you are looking for a bright and vivid picture, you can go to the picture mode and change it to that setting. Usually it is called something like "Vivid" or "Dynamic." Besides that, it is all user preference. Most people prefer to just use the factory default settings.

I was wondering what is the typical ideal set up in terms of picture settings to obtain the best picture from my 46" samsung 6 series. It is currently connected to my sky box (not HD)through a normal...

If you are not connected to HD, pixelation can easily occur, especially if you are using an analogue connection. Here is a list, from best to worst, of how you should connect the video on your system.

1) BEST - HDI cable between the TV HDMI in and the sky box HDMI out. This is a full bandwidth digital audio and video connection.

2) BETTER - S-Video between your TV and sky box (with L & R audio)

3) GOOD - Component Video with L & R audio

4) STANDARD - single video cable (yellow) along with L & R audio

5) standard coax

These are listed, as stated, from best to worst quality. If you are not using a digital connection (HDMI), then pixelation can be expected.
