My sony ericsson w715 is facing problem with flight mode. i cant change the profile to normal or silent. and cant make oe receive calls. also the battery is having problem. even it is original set battery, when charged it indicates that 'use sony ericsson battery. please help!!

Turn on / off Airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off the wireless radio. This allows you to use programs while travelling on an airplane, but not make or receive calls.
To turn on airplane mode, follow these steps:

1. From the Home screen, select Go to.
2. Scroll to and select Profiles.
3. Scroll to and select Flight.
4. Select Activate.

To turn off airplane mode, follow these steps:

1. From the Home screen, select Go to.
2. Scroll to and select Profiles.
3. Scroll to and select Normal (or a profile other than Flight.)
4. Select Activate.

I recently had a similar problem. When you call or receive, Dial the number. press send. then press the "back" button, The top right "-". This switches on the internal speaker.

Go to MENU--> SETTINGS-->There you will have options to choose profiles.

You can change to the required profile through that.

You have to change the profile to normal or silent to exit the flight mode.

Otherwise restart your phone it will ask you want to exit the flight mode or not.

in other sony-ericsson phone's the flight mode is only showed when it's turned on!
in fact when u turn on u're phone it has 2 options( normal start or flight mode)
but it may be disabled to show the flight mode option and u have to enable it first
it's easy u'll find it in main option tab

Goto Menu -> profiles and select General to restore back your mobile to normal mode from flight mode.

You can also try long pressing (press and hold) the # key in your keypad while your mobile is in normal display mode.

software corrupted is my suspicion, you could flash new software to the phone in 1 of 2 ways:

second option is try using sony ericsson update service which you will find on their website along with instructions

i think u just press the on/off key once to change ur profile and select flight mode, or just change it through ur profile settings. sorry cant be sure as my phone wont charge atm. damn phones

if its sony ericsson, just restart it then select the normal mode.

make sure you have the phone set to ring, it could be on silent or vibrate mode, there is also a profile that will not allow you to set ring tone, it'll always be silent, so try a different profile
