check out visioneer.com they have compatible adf replacement pads. There is not a replacement part for the roller though.

SOURCE: i need the drive gear for the adf on a xerox

the only place you can buy this is from xerox direct. Please locate your nearest xerox dealer and obtain a part number from them:)

Hi, I don't know if it's permissible to advertise but we currently sell the assembly for the Xerox Documate scanners. As far as I know the scanner's discontinued, and the pads are getting pricey so consider how much longer you want to wait before replacing the scanner.

check if it is from the glass plate and ADF.
If only ADF check the small glass plate to the left of the big one.
Clean that and it should disappear

it seems that the drivers did no install correctly.
-Go to the control panel -> Programs -> add/ remove programs. -Then uninstall Kofax VirtualReScan and restart the computer. -After the computer comes back on insert the installation disk and reinstall the drivers.

If the problem persists maybe your installation disk is corrupted, try to download the latest version from xerox and try again.

A line keeps showing up on the scans that's not on the documents...how do I delete the line that isn't on the original document but shows up about 1-2" in front left side of scan?
All it takes is a minute speck on the glass when using the ADF to cause lines on a copy.
THOUROUGHLY clean the glass including the thin piece to the left of the bed if there is one.
Spray glass cleaner on a link free cloth and wipe it clean

ADF pad
The ADF Pad part number is 57-0103-000.

Their online ordering has a kit with 4 pads and cleaning accessories for a price of about $100.00. The part number for this is 96-0201-000.

Problem with the adf documate 510
Check the adf pad assembly. It is the small grey pad inside the top cover. One replacement pad should have come with your scanner. Mine was doing the same thing, when I replaced the pad, it worked like new.
