JBL Eon 15 Blown Fuse

Hi, My Eon stopped working so I opened it up and found 2 blown fuses. I took them to radio shack but the fuses didn't have the amp on it.  Do you know

I have the same problem the fuses are 2.5 amps and 250 v. Everytime I replace the fuse they blow, sometimes afdter playing for a while and somtimes soon as I power up. the amp board is new and so is the driver. Not sure why it is doing this. Does anyone know why?

These fuses are most likely 3 Amp fuses. Please note that if the replacements blow as well, that there is a problem within the amp section that will require repair.

Power went out. believe fuse is blown.

If the fuse is blown, then there is a failure that requires servicing. Unless you are adept at electronics, take it to a repair shop. Here is your service manual:

The required fuse is 1.6 A / 125V an is blown, I wen to radio shack and bought a 1.6A/250V and it has blown 2 already, what can I do or check to fix it? This is a Sony Sub-woofer model sa-wmsp1.

Hi,
If power transformer T1 got shorted or its output voltage got shorted for some reason, fuse will blow in Sony SA-WMSP1 active subwoofer.
Check power transformer, D401 bridge rectifiers and IC301 power amplifier out chip. Any of them is bad.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Bloon Fuses!

You don't need schematics to replace the fuses.
Open the speaker unit by unscrewing the back. The fuses are located near the on/off switch assembly. Replace them and screw the the unit back together.
To avoid blown fuses, try lowering the volume.

BLOWN FUSE?

If no warranty - remove amp and check sub to another amp to isolate speaker from internal amp. Either the amp blew a channel or subwoofer blew. JBL's are typically well built. Has this speaker often been pushed loud often?
