Basically, I have a Toshiba Portege 3500, and when I flip the screen around to use the tablet mode, the screen images do not flip like they used to, and the stylus does not work. It's almost as if it is a regular laptop that has a screen that can turn around. I'm open to any suggestions.

On my Toshiba Portege I access the overlay number pad by pressing Fn- F11. Try it. To get of that mode, press the Fn-F11 combination again. The led on the F11 key should turn off.
No you cannot. It does not have touch capabilities. But that should not be too difficult to verify. Poke your finger on an icon to see if it comes alive.
Do you have Windows XP with servicepack 3 installed? If so then there is a known problem with the screen driver and XP sp3. Go bakc to SP2 and reinstall de display drivers this should clear the problem.
If anyone has working tident drivers for XP SP3 I would be greatfull!!
it's a digitizer (hardware part of LCD screen) problem, U can try to buy that part and replace it or just squeeze a little bit LCD screen on the edges around (don't squeeze the screen itself but just black plastic frame around the screen) - it helped my Toshiba for a while :)
