There is no problem if you have a new cartridge - just open the printer, pull an old cartridge and insert a new one (follow the instructions, provided with new cartridge)

But if you want to refill an old cartridge - you'll need to disassemble it, clean with service vacuum, fill with new toner and reassemble the cartridge. So it requires some skills.

I am having "install toner" problem

Hi Swarnab,
When you replace the toner cartridge, you need to reset the printer to tell it that it has a new cartridge.
The way you do this is to buy and install a toner reset chip.
You can readily buy these online from sites like Ebay. Make sure you get installation instructions when you buy the reset chip.
Happy printing.

Xerox 6360 will not recognize replacement toner cartridge

Only two things I can think of.
1 Be sure you have removed all the seals that are on a new cartridge. The tape etc. Sometimes a piece of one of them rips off.
If you have all the packaging seals removed then return the cartridge because its defective.
That machine can take up to 3 minutes to recognise a new cartridge. So if your turning it on and off quickly, let it set up for a few minutes.

When I replaced the drum I know get a 540 sensor toner error

Get another toner to fit to your new drum, what happens is the toner sits on the drum, and when you lock it on the drum it dumos as much powder from the toner container on top into the drum as it can. If the top unit runs entirly out of toner it will throw the sensor error, if you look at the drum you took out you will see it has the toner in it, so if you even just a put a new one in before you fitted the drum, you will need to fit another..

You can check if this is the issue by looking at the level of powder in drum unit, it should be up to the brim of foam edged slot not below it...then feel your toner if the top cart is empty then thats your issue ..fit another toner

There are other things but this is the most likly and I have given you a test to verify if this is your issue or not.. hope this helps oh and its a good idea not to change toner near drum life ends...or if you dont mind a little mess, before changing drum, invert your old one with toner still on top, while you are holding upside down , keep a firm pressure between both units and unlock the toner, turn upright and you now should have an near emppty old drum and the toner locked back in the toner cartridge ready to transfer its load to the new drum, rather than the expensive stuff heading for the bin......must be money in selling the stuff they want you to waste it....what a planet..cheers.

The toner cartridge replacement won't fit

Yes it is possible that they did not send you the O.E.M. toner cartridge. Some of the gerneric toners are made for a few different models and they may not fit exactly.

OKI C5400 - REPLACE DRUM

To replace the drum - leave the toner in place and pull it upwards. This will remove the drum and toner together. Now release the toner from the drum. Fit the new drum - don't forget to remove the orange packing bar and replace the toner. Easy when you know how.
