I simply don't have the cd or dvd driver, looked everywhere cant find it! stupid lenovo page don't help anythink... evertime i log in asks the model then no drivers!! i'm so mad right now i want to tear apart this comp. just a simple driver for gods sake! i'm in a hurry have to do alot of stuff but look at me i'm writing a complainin msg!!

i have y500 laptop.i had da same problem.i took out da cd drive n cleaned da lens.now its working perfectly fine like a new cd drive..

Use Last Version of Nero Burning rom, also try to flash your Dvd Burner whit new firmware
Are u using Vista or XP maybe u got a conflict whit drivers
