How do you uninstall the stand on a Sony model KDL-V40XBR1. I need to get the stand off and there is no manual or instruction sheet.

To take advantage of the wide mode feature on your TV, Set the DVD players' aspect ratio to 16:9. For details, refer the operating instructions supplied with your DVD player. Aspect ratio must be set with DVD player. Not with the TV. OK.

How do I remove the stand of the Sony Bravia XBR KDL-V40XBR1 so i can wall-mount the tv?
you have to lay the tv on it's front on something to protect it from being damaged.on the back you'll see where the base joins the bottom of the display, this needs to be unscrewed and a wall bracket screwed in instead.
