The Nikon is a stills camera with some video capability, the Samsung is a video camera with some stills capability. They're completely different.

If you want to take mostly stills, then go for the Nikon. If not then get the Samsung. it's a very poor video camera and an even worse stills camera, but the video quality is far better than on the Nikon. The Nikon is a very capable stills camera and worse than the Samsung for video.

arnabajit, Are you looking for a price of a new D80 or a kit (camera with a couple of lenses) because it's going to vary based on what you want.  If you are looking for used and that's what you need prices for try some classified or online bidding sites.   Reliable camera shops and stores are really your best bet if you establish a relationship with them and they understand your camera needs you will be better off in the long run, not that you can't get a good "deal" but you can get help in choosing the right camera for your needs. randy320sgi
