Hi let me save you pocket. Instead of repairing your camera would be economical in this issue. you just buy usb memory card reader about $10. you put your sd card into the reader and connect to computer. That is easy. you click on my computer, you will see a new drive folder. rest of work is yours...However it will cost to you if you want to repair the problem. your camera might has usb port defective and local repair shop would charge around $65 to 125 depend on what they really want to charge. thanks and best regard!

Do you really need to connect your camera to your computer?

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

Can not down load pictures off of the camra

If you have got a memory stick take it out of your camera and if your computer has a slot for it slot it in. if you don't have a memory card buy one from any local camera shop and put your pictures on it then slot it in to your computer. if your computer doesn't have a slot for the memory card you can buy a USB stick with a memory card slot in it.

Kodak Easyshare z1012: 676 photos downloaded to

First of all, it's not a good idea to leave that many pictures on a card for any length of time...they may get corrupted. Download to your computer more often. As for your present problem, take the card to a store that has a Kodak picture maker machine (like Walmart). Usually, all the pictures will show up ok and you can print them or even make a cd of them.

Camra issues now.

Since this is a new computer, the problem is most likely that the software isn't the right version for your new computer. You need to get the latest version of the software. You can download the latest version of EasyShare software from Kodak.com
