Hello,
You must look for its sleep up timer that might have been changed by
some one.. By restoring its setting you can get out of this problem..This will be a better choice for you or if you wanna reset it then leave it unplugged for 4 hrs and then plug it back but according to me this wont help you in this case..So try to change the timer value using the manual of the tv if your not sure how to do it and finally if all this fails then The fault might be the inverter that drives the backlight. There are 8
stages in it,if one of them was faulty, the screen will try to start up,
but if the inverter chip sensed something was wrong and shut the TV down.
In few case it might need a new inverter transformer which doesnt cost a
lot, but you can sometimes get reconditioned inverters for a reasonable
amount...Thank you..
Please post back how things turned on for further assistance...
Kind Regards!!...
Take it to a tech
Reset it.
change the timer settings. it is set that way so it is happening.
its definately the sleep timer.for sure.but probably you cannot adjust the timer in 2sec time.it would be set by mistake by someone.so if under warranty call the company person it will take not more then 10 minites for him to set the timer off.and if not under warranty you will be charged not more than service charge.
he will have to set the timer manually.by opening the tv unit.
the tv is absolutely perfect,.
pls rate the solution if helped by it to know your problem. thanks.

Usually answered in minutes!
How do I reset my 32" EMERSON LCD TV If it will only stay on for 2 seconds or so?
And I paid $10.00 for that smart assed answer, I want my money back.
The solution that was offered corresponds with what Emerson's custmer service tech suggested. With this information I can now speak with a little knowledge with the repairmen that I am taking the unit to.
Thanks again
