bought a camera in Japan (Sony Cybershot DSC-WX1) and now it seems that i
can't change the language from japanese to english. If i select (can't
read it but with the help of the english digital guide i think i have
the right menu)change language, there seems to be only one language

Click Sony Support and download English User Manual copy, press Menu, settings, main settings in same sequnece and select Initialize camera, this will set camera to default settings and camera will ask time, date and language settings, select English. Hope this info will help you. Thanks.

Hey reynante, You should be able to change the language back to English under the settings menu which starts on page 62 of your camera manual and the language setting manual is designated by a letter A inside of a box as shown on page 69 of your camera manual.
