The bottle full message indicates that the waste toner collection bottle is full. The full bottle needs to be removed and the toner disposed of properly. Then a replacement collection bottle needs to be installed and the waste toner counter reset. This site has the toner bottle: http://www.precisionroller.com/waste-toner-containers-for-ricoh-aficio-mp-c4500/details_47769.html . It is possible to reuse the bottles but most people will spill the toner when they try to empty a collection bottle. You do not want loose toner in your environment.
Turn off the printer (at the power switch) and wait for the lights to stop blinking before attempting the replacement. See page 62 of the network guide for the replacement procedure. See https://www.ricoh-usa.com/downloads/downloads.aspx to search for your printer and get the manuals.
Hi there,
You can just empty the waste toner bottle. here is what you need to do.
Here is also a manual for your machinehttp://support.ricoh.com/bb_v1oi/html/oi/re/model/cl3500/cl3500en.htm
Detailed instructions on cleaning the Waste toner bottle on Page 32 of the Maintenance Guide. Instead of replacing just empty it. Just be careful as the toner is toxic so you can also vacuum the toner out of the Waste Toner Bottle.
Regards,
There is no need to do that. Make sure the sensor is not out of the place.
If you take the wast bottle you will see a little sensor. Make sure is placed correctly.
By the way, what waste bottle is mentioned in the screen????
You have another waste bottle on the left of the machine.
Take the screws and you will see a white plastic bottle. Just empty it and your problem is solved.
Be careful, it is a little messy
1. Lift the original feed unit.
2. Lift the upper unit.
3. Right upper cover
4. Right cover [
5. Loosen the leaf spring and lift it.
6. Toner overflow sensor
7. Toner collection bottle
Once you have it out jsut dump it out (carefully) remove the sensor on the bottle and wipe clean reinstall the sensor re install the bottle and you should be good to go
You're going to get a little bit dirt with the trick, but there is no need to buy a empty waste toner bottel
Empty the waste toner bottle inside a plastic bag, the dust is kind of azard!!!, when the bottle is empty, clean it from the outside.
Place the bottle in the printer, (This is just for reference only), in the right side of the bottle you're going to see a plastic tag all dirty (You see it?) OK!!, remove the bottle from the printer, and then very carfully remove that plastic tag from the bottle taking care of not ripping it off, now clean the plastic tag, and put it in place again, and now your printer is ready to work!!!!!
Where's the trick?, The printer has a Photo sensor that is "looking" trugh this plastic tag, when the plastic tag is full of toner, the sensor can't get the signal, and then it says that the waste bottle is full..!!!
Couple of things to try:
- If you just emptied the waste cartridge then you have to take the bottle back out and clean the insides as well. The sensor sees the toner on the walls and still thinks it?s full. FYI as typical the manufacturer recommends replacing the bottle with a brand new one.
- If not that then you may have toner covering the optical sensor. Try blowing the area where the waste bottle attaches to the printer with canned air.
