HI
On the back of your camera there is a button that has a little triangle above it. Make sure the memory card is in the camera. Then turn the camera on. Next you will want to push that little button and the pictures you have taken should come up on the screen. Thank you I am glad I could help you today!!

Model dc164. How do I view photos without memory card?

That model uses a DVDR/RW type discs plus a memory card (SD, MMC or Sony Memory Sticks). To view photos from the disc simply go into view mode and use the joystick to move to the image you want to view. If you want to transfer images you need the USB cable that came with it and the original software to transfer images from the disc. While capturing video you can snap images but only to a memory card/stick. No card/stick while shooting video, then nothing was captured and the only way you can get any images is transferring a frame(s) from the video using the USB cable and their included software.

Here are links to the manufacturer website where you can still download the software that came with that model and a second link to view/save the manual in PDF format. Information to read in the manual are on pages 95 & 108.

Maybe those shots you took were in the raw mode, If so then you have to convert them with the Nikon software that camera with the camera,to view them in your laptop, Try installing that software then view them again, Hope this helps,

How do i access my photographs

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Then you can view them on the computer.
Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Try formatting the memory card - go to the camera's menu to format the memory card.

I Have taken pictures with the camera , after it saves it keeps telling me photo error , im trying to recovery images i have taken , and they are unable to view and when i copy them to my pc , windows says...

Your pictures may be corrupted. You can recover those corrupted pictures with this
1. Do not save any new pictures into the memory card of your camera.
2. Insert the memory card into a card reader. Connect it with computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download recovery software, recommended one is Tenorshare Data Recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)

4. Install and open the program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.
