My Xerox Phaser 8560 is not printing the red properly. It comes out more llike a brown. The light blue comes as a teal and bubble gum pink comes out like a light pale plum. Peach comes out as beige. Is there a way to increase the amount of red to come out?

Solution : Print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages and Make Sure the Colors Are Accurate CAUTION: Use of inks other than Genuine Xerox Solid Ink may affect print quality and printer reliability. It is the only ink designed and manufactured under strict quality controls by Xerox for specific use with this printer. The Xerox Warranty, Service Agreements, and Total Satisfaction Guarantee do not cover damage, malfunction, or degradation of performance caused by use of non-Xerox supplies, or the use of Xerox supplies not specified for this printer.
To print the Troubleshooting Print Quality pages:

  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Troubleshooting Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button to print the test pages.
  4. Go through the pages and find the Light Stripes Test page.

For each color, remove an unused solid ink stick from the printer, and then use the ink stick to make a mark of color next to the corresponding color on the printed page. If the colors do not closely match, that color will need to be purged from the print head. Continue with step 6 if the colors do not closely match.
  5. NOTE: If the colors do closely match, the problem is not related to the printer's hardware. There is no hardware adjustment available on the Control Panel for calibrating individual colors.

  6. Create a document consisting of a full page (100% fill) of the color not printing correctly, or download and use one of the resource files provided in the table below. For example, if cyan ink is actually printing black, create a document that is a solid fill of cyan, or download and open the Cyan fill page provided in the table below.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to set the Print Quality mode in the print driver to "Standard" and the TekColor Correction to "None" before performing the next step. This will allow the job to purge only the problem color. Other settings may cause the printer to use a percentage of the other ink sticks.

  7. Print approximately 50 - 100 pages of the document, as necessary, until the printed color returns to normal.
IF THAT DOESN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEM TRY THIS: http://www.support.xerox.com/SRVS/CGI-BIN/WEBCGI.EXE?St=156,E=0000000002703198886,K=8233,Sxi=10,Solution=obj(964)

Why xerox phaser 6360dn is printing only pink

Anonymous, Have you tried to print the test print, is that Pink?
Have you tried too print the configuration sheet, is that Pink?
Have you tried to run purge sheets are they Pink?
If the answer is yes to all the above then has the printer been moves whilst still hot or warm, you could have mixed the colours.
If all the colours were mixed together then you would have a dark dirty Brown. Further investigation needed.
Good Luck.

My xerox phaser 8560 is printing muted color

First off on your screen access troubleshooting, and perform the remove light strips and also remove smears and skips.
Next go to Xerox.com, under support and drivers enter 8560 in the search box. then go to the support page.
You want to look up the procedures for TEC color correction. And follow those steps.
If you are using a generic ink then, all bets are off in getting true color reproduction.

Phaser 8560 not printing RED correctly

Even though Media Sciences ink is not compatable and is subject to burning and clogging your printhead, the most telling symptom you listed is the red shavings. This indicates the ink is not releasing from the drum properly. This version of solid ink has a problem with the cams on the maintenance camshaft cracking and this causes the maintenance kit roller to not oil the drum properly. You will also hear an odd noise either grinding, groaning or a slight tearing sound. This requires a technician to resolve as replacing the camshaft is not an enduser job. Print quality issues are either the printhead or related to the camshaft failing, there are a few others but they wouldn't exhibit the symptoms you listed.

Patchy color printing, streaks and dull colors using Phaser 8200

I have the same exact problem. I just switched to a mac and the colors are awful. I tried from 3 different macs at work, trying different combinations of color profiles, settings, etc, and the colors always look completely off. Blues are magenta, bright red is a dull reddish, orange is completely brown. It looks like Xerox decided to not even try to make this aspect work with the Mac. This is on the latest Mac book Pro, running Snow Leopard, to a Xerox Phaser 8560 DN.

Xerox Phaser 8560 - I have been having print quality issues for a few weeks - what shows as bright blue on my screen or if I am printing a photo comes out very dark blue, purple comes out navy blue. I have...

Since it's a brand new printer it's probably not the printer, but your set up . Not knowing what program you are printing from, I can't advise beyond that 1) check the reference for the program you are printing from about setting up your color to be compatible with your printer (look under color management). Usually it has to do with your file's color profile matching the printer profile.

Xerox Phaser 8560 Waste INk

Although I agree totally, the anwer is no. Althought it appears black, take a piece of it an use it like a crayon. It is a combination of all the color inks combined. So if you take and rub it on a piece of paper it will be a purple color. So threfore would not create proper colors.
Now to save ink, Do not turn the printer off at all. Just let it use its own sleep mode. The power consumption is intermittent to keep the print head warm and uses about the same ammount of electricity as your refridgerator light bulb. The reason being, when you turn off a solid ink printer, it purges the print head of ALL old ink and dumps it into the waste tray. That is part of those weird noises you hear when you cycle up the machine, one is a compressor emptying the print head.
Also, honestly, althogh I am not sure what you are using the machine for. But you would be wise to put that product on a pay per page maintenance agreement. That includes all ink and all service. Some of the parts for those printers are super expensive.
I will say one thing you can do with that waste ink, if you know anyone who has children, they can use them as purple crayons..
