On smaller Proview monitor, model 468, there is not power cord.

On the Proview 468 and possibly the PL-456s and the PZ-456if you look at the end of the VGA chord that you connect to the back of the computer right in between the two screws is a power connector for a 12 volt power supply this is for the 468 I hope this helps with your dilemma on how it gets power. Will my 64mb GF2 support dvi and / or hdmi connection (I want to get a flat panel monitor)

Not directly......but no worries!

All hope is not lost with just the VGA out on your card!

First, every flat panel monitor I have ever seen has a VGA input, so your GeForce2 card will still work!

VGA is still the top analog signal standard for computers. I am writing this with my on-board NVIDEA GeForce, connected to a Viewsonic VA2226w flat panel monitor using VGA and set at a resolution of 1680X1050!

Almost forgot..... just ignore the "TV Out" on your card.... this is old school and will give you nowhere near the quality you will get from VGA.... it was meant as a "crowd pleaser" to allow people to connect to their old school big screen TV sets.

Get the flat panel display... you will find out that it will work just fine with your VGA connection.

When I connect the moniter to the graphic card geforce 6200 it will not show a display at all. connection to the computer using the regular connection it shows

On both the Graphics card and the monitor, the blue connector is a 15 pin DSub VGA video and the white connector is a DVI video.
With the monitor it should default to the 15pin DSub video input.
If you want to use the DVI video input you need to configure the monitor to use the DVI video input. DVI to DVI give the best picture quality.
If you want to go from 15pin DSub to DVI you need a converter cable.
Try conviguring the monitor for a DVI video input.

My SyncMaster 740n is stuck in power save mode. I have rebooted, unplugged power and vga chord...the thing was on and all of a sudden POOF it was black. The power light blinks every second or two.

zolio, Monitor most likely has "switch-mode-power-supply" problem!! click on blue highlighted "SyncMaster 740N" and read about similar BLACK SCREEN of DEATH failures and how to fix them!! Your monitor I suspect is no different than any other LCD with "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" for backilghting that fail to light-up. You can even visit YOUTUBE for videos on fixing BSOD problems!! Also a ton of stuff here on FIXYA!!! Just read and follow some of the links!! you WILL find out about everything you DIDN'T know of HOW and WHY lcd monitors fail. And better still, LEARN how to do the repair work or contract out the work to a Technician or other monitor REFURBISHMENT depot. Have you tried SAMSUNG to do warranty work? If this response was of some help please rate on FIXYA . 12fixlouie

How to connect samsung pasma tv to pc?model number is PS42B450B1XUM

Hello,

That does depend on the PC, but I'll assume it's a pretty standard PC.

You ideally need a Male 15Pin VGA cable to Male 15Pin VGA cable. (aka A normal Monitor Cable) The same as you probably have connected between your PC and Monitor.

Your TV has a 15Pin VGA Female socket on the back, this cable plugs into here.

For Sound the TV has what looks like a headphone socket next to the VGA Plug. You need to use a Stereo Jack Plug to Stereo Jack Plug Cable. 3.5mm. This goes from your PC's Audio Line Out (rear of the PC) to the Plug on the rear of the TV. It is usually marked Aux In or PC Sound.

Enjoy, The PC will look great on the Tv.

No 9 pin video socket

Most video cards use a 15 pin VGA connector.

There is also a 9 pin VGA connector, but they are a lot less common - I'm guessing this is what you have.

Is the video cable hard-wired into your monitor or is it connected via a plug? If it's a plug, is that a 15 or 9 pin? If it's a 15 pin, then all you need to do is buy a new 15-15pin VGA cable.

If it's hard-wired, you'll need to buy some sort of adapter. These are available and don't cost much either, but you might need to try a more specialist computer store to find one.

Hope this helps!
