Hi! I was turning on my PS3 and it showed a yellow led instead of the green one. After that, the light turns red and starts blinking. There's no image on the screen. How can I solve this problem? Thanks.

I think you may be referring to the famed yellow light of death people are talking about. It's basically the 360's 3 red lights of death, except it's happening to a good console, instead of a piece of ****.

sorry but its called the yellow light of death..look on youtube or google ylod or yellow light of death solutions...its called this bc when u turn on ps3..the light is green for a moment, then yellow, and finally blinks red...sony charges $150 to fix...google and youtube will show you how to do it....youll need some electronic skills

Your ps3 has overheated. This is the equivilent to the red ring of death for xbox 360. The ps3 problem is called "yellow light of death" this means your ps3 has died due to the console being overheated. It's likely that you are a victim of poor design. Your problem is referred to as the Yellow Light of Death or YLOD.

There is nothing wrong with the PS3. I read in the users manual that when the the green light on the PS3 turns yellow or flashes yellow the PS3 is too hot and you need to turn it off. It has never happened to me because I keep my PS3 in a open area.

When the PS3 gets to hot you need to let it sit and cool for a little while and then you can turn it back on and start playing again. If the PS3 cools for a while and it still doesn't work you need to call Sony.
