    Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

Here is the rest of this tip about DryerMaintenance

Kenmore model 90 dryer electric will dry the clothes takes a long time. Leaves the floor surrounding the dryer damp actually wet just not puddled

Are the clothes wet AND hot? If so - check the exhaust / vent hose for kinks or obstructions. That includes the cap / flap on the outside of the house.

If the clothes are wet AND cold, then the electric heating element isn't heating likely due to a broken or poor electrical connection, burned out heating element, defective thermostat, etc..

Clean your sensors if you have them. They might have junk on them that could be forming a moisture barrier preventing the sensors from feeling the wetness of them clothes. The dryer may think them clothes is dry because it cannot sense wetness.

Dryer not drying clothes, have had a small load in for over 2 hours still wet....

Hello s cissy. If the clothes are hot but not getting dry you probably have lots of lint accummulated in the vent pipe which is stopping the wet air from escaping to the out-of-doors. To solve this pull out the dryer, unplug it and then disassemble the vent pipe from the lower back of the machine. Clean out the inside of the pipe and the interior of the machine where the pipe connects.

If the clothes never get warm to hot, then you most likely will have to replace the heating element. Get back if that is the case and we can talk you through that repair. Joe
