Try unplugging the washer for 5 mins. to reset the main control board, if that doesn't help check to see if both door latches are locking

Have a Kenmore Elite HE3T washer. Put appropriate detergent, fabric softener in, selected NORMAL cycle, spin speed, etc. Just sits there. Pressed START button several times. Nothing. Little cycle lights...

I own a 18-year-old Kenmore front-load washer so I'm not sure this will apply, but here goes... My washer requires me to press and HOLD the start button for a few seconds before it will start. At that point the door will lock and the washer goes through its startup phase. I think that is a "safety feature' to keep from accidentally bumping the button and starting the washer. See if that help. Good luck!

Can't choose just one option like "Rinse & hold" on the control panel.

try this
turn the machine on at the wall select what you want then press the start button
it is possible that you are trying to change the program after it is started and that is causing conflict

My laptop won't work on battery now!!

look at the bottom of the laptop where you install the battery, there's should be what looks like metal contacts where the battery connects to the actual computer. make sure that when you installed the battery you didn't accidentally bend 2 of them so they were touching eachother. you may have created a direct short which is what caused your heat and the smell. try to plug the battery back in and be careful that you don't bend the metal contacts.

Trying to seth the date on my Timex Indiglo CR1216

  1. First, find the regular time mode by pressing the MODE button until the time (with the date at the top) shows.
  2. Press & hold the SET button until the word ENTER disappears and is replaced by the word TIME. Release that button. You'll notice that at the top of the display, the words SET T1 or SET - T2. This is where you select between setting the 1st time zone or the 2nd time zone. Select between T1 or T2 by pressing the RECALL button or the STOP/RESET button.
  3. Press either the MODE or the START/SPLIT button. You'll notice that whatever is blinking is what you can change. You can make the changes by pressing either the RECALL or the STOP/RESET button. You can change the Seconds, the Hours, the Minutes, the Month, the Date, the Year, and choose between 12 hour (civilian) or 24 hour (military) time. If you keep MODE or START/SPLIT button, you will go through all the things you can change and start again at the beginning. The START/SPLIT button goes through these things forward, and the MODE goes through the backwards, so if you pass something and want to back up, just switch buttons. In the same way, the RECALL changes things by making them larger, and STOP/RESET changes them by making them smaller, so if you accidentally pass the number you're trying to set it to, just switch to the other button and go back.

A red padlock symbol is showing on the panel of my WCVH6800 front load washer. I can't change any of the wash settings. How do I fix this?

Here's what the Padlock represents:

Lock Function

You can lock the controls to prevent any selections from being made. Or you can lock the controls after you have started a cycle. children cannot accidentally start the washer by touching pads with this option selected.

To lock the washer, press and hold the DELAY START button for 3 seconds (on some models use SIGNAL button). To unlock the washer controls, press and hold the DELAY START button for 3 seconds. The control lock icon on the display will light up when it is on.

NOTE: The POWER button can still be used when the machine is locked.
