Are you sure that its the main A/Vboard coz it sounds like the main power supply issue to me. Anyways the mainboard is the large board usually located at the center of the tv. If you can remove the back cover of the tv and get me a high res picture of the tv I can mark the board for you.

Hi my tv flickers when its been on too long but if let it rest for a few hours it stops and works fine, what is the issue?

Plasma TVs run hot. Unfortunately for you you have a component that is overheating. Quite often you will find a capacitor getting puffy. Look around the main board for distorted components.

Picture take 3-4 minutes before it comes on

The main power supply regulator section circuit fault. Either it will be a separate board, or the part of main board. Check and replace damaged component/s at its main power regulator [SMPS] section circuit. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

It will be best to replace the power supply regulator board as card basis rather than making "Surgery" to it; which usually will make loss for both money and time. Even though you can make it right, it will cost around an amount equal to the cost of a new board; including the cost of (spare parts + service charge) More to say, most of the spare parts to it will be difficult to get from open electronic spare part market. This is true to most of the flat panel TV power supply boards; irrespective of its brand and screen size.

Maxent 60 in lcd tv flickers

I had the same problem with my 50 inch Maxent, found a solution on the internet that seemed too good to be true, but I replaced a part that cost me $1.38 at Radio Shack and my tv is as good as new. Go to this link for details and even includes pictures. All you need is a scredriver (to remove back cover) and a soldering iron - repair is actually very easy. Good Luck!

My Maxent mx-50x3 has a intermitten problem, when I turn it on, it does not have a picture, 5 minutes later it will flicker than a couple minutes more it has a picture while flickering, another ten minutes...

i had the similar problem. i'm not a tech but like to take stuff apart to find the problem. on my tv i took the back completely off. do not touch the boards. if you follow the power supply from the plug up two boards i found a small white adjustment screw. it was just up and to the right slightly from the plug. with a small screw driver i turned it slightly to the right and the flickering and delayed picture went away. couldn't tell you why it worked but it did. hope this helps, saved us $800 to buy a new tv.

What is the Product Name or Model number of your Maxent 42" Plasma TV? If it is a MX-42X3, Model # P420542HM8, I think I can help you. I have encountered this exact same problem with 2 Maxent MX-42X3 Plasma TV's. I found that C766, a 220uF, 16V surface-mount electrolytic capacitor on the main board is bad. This capacitor is located just to the left of the green multi-fin processor heat sink. This capacitor will test good using capacitor meter or an ESR meter, but if you spray it with Freeze-It with the power on, you will find out that this is the problem! To get it out, I found I had to remove the little 10uF 16V surface-mount capacitor just to the left of it. I then replaced these 2 capacitors with regular (radial), high-temperature, low-ESR capacitors. I cut the leads short, and bent the ends out just a little bit so you can solder them back onto the surface-mount pads. You can get these parts from Digi-Key Corp. I used Digi-Key part # P12383-ND ($0.32) for the 220uF capacitor, and P11212-ND ($0.30) for the 10uF capacitor. Both of these capacitors are rated for 25V and high temperature, so they won't go bad again. You can purchase surface mount capacitors there too, but I find them very difficult to solder back into those locations due to the tight placement of other capacitors in that area. If you're not an expert in soldering, I suggest you take the main board to a qualified electronic technician, and let him do it. But you better put the board in an anti-static bag before you take it anywhere! Hope this helps!

Maxent 42" Plasma TV takes 3 - 5 minutes to sync after turning on

I had the same issue....thankfully, I had purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy...I had been in a panic, because I NEVER thought I would pay a grand for a tv, but I LOVE it...anyway.....I had the "Geek Squad" come to look at the tv....the tech took 30 secs....there is a problem with your Y-SUS (Y-sustain board)...it will need to be replaced...and...the tech called another tech, and he advised that the Z-SUS be replaced as well (apparently he had to go back to the same home after a Y-SUS replacement to change out a failed Z-SuS).....retail on Y-SUS is about $300...ebay has them for less than half that, if you think you can do it yourself...keep in mind that "Maxent" is a Zenith/LG product, so finding parts might be a challenge if you base it upon Maxent....hope this helps!!
