We have a 2 year old 27" Samsung LN-S2738D. The tuner (which worked fine previosly) will no longer pick up broadcast channels below number 10 via antennae. We have tried rescanning the air channels and also tried entering the channel number but nothing works. Can this be fixed?

Take the set and reprogram it where one of the other sets are ok. Digital signal is not so forgiving as analog, also place one of the sets that is receiving that station in place of the not receiving one. It's possible that the signal level at the bad spot is on the border line and that model can't hold on to it. You may also check visio's web site for any software up grade to your model that you may have to down load.

SOURCE: Sharp digital tv cannot receive digital signal

This television would benefit from an hdtv indoor outdoor amplified antenna not obstructed by trees, aluminum, bricks, and etc. Make sure the signal type is air and not cable and complete a channel scan during primetime tv hours after connecting to this antenna. Buy a large one that you can mount to the wall usually in a large flat box on the shelf in the store. Philips has one sold at Walmart.

Tv reset factory turn

To reset the TV to a system reset, you should have its original remote control, and should enter its service mode option. To make it a hard reset, just unplug the the from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

We have a Sony KD-28DX50 U digital tv. Since digital retune we have no "event information" after channel 27. Worked fine before. Sony 0870 number in a loop by sound of it.

Problem solved. Tele scrapped. Finally found a human being on one of Sony's "help lines" who said, as it is quite old set, software couldn't cope with large number (198) of digital whatsits. Got a nice, and cheap, replacement from Amazon at 8:30 next day.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

52G786 ATSC Tuner no longer works

I have the same exact model tv...Love it...ATSC tuners is in definition an Analog tuner. As the broadcasting companies change over to Digital broadcasting before the deadline in Febuary 2009 more and more local or Non-Digital chanels are becoming obsolete. You would have to purchase a converter box for your tv if your not planning on getting cable. Another way to gois if you have an old cable line running through you house (no incomming cable) plug you tv into that jack. That also acts as a antenna. The sweet part of all this is that your tv do have a QAM tuner or Digital tuner built in just need that digital antenna to pair it up.
