I think the backlight of your screen is out, which can be complicated. I think it is working but just not lighting up. I'll look this thing up and let you know more later. Please send me a make and model number when you can.
On the rear of the unit, the RCA jack on the lower left corner of the jack panel should be yellow and marked Video out. take a RCA to RCA plug into the video out on the unit, then plug the other end into Video in on the TV. This depends on the karaoke machine in question. Mostly the Ipod accepts a 3mm earphone jack and the karaoke is supposed to support the regular av in 2 pin jack. so all you need to do is get the single 3mm headphone jack to 2 pin av in jack. that should work perfectly.
