Reading MMS .dat file on PC

Hi there,
You can download the file to your system, from the website, if you already have the program you can install with 2 procedures.
1. Normal Setup installation 2. .Cab Installation
1. For normal installation , you have to install Microsoft Active Sync 3.7 for your Imate Jam Normally the programmes comes for the imate having the setup files
How To install a program: Simply run the setup of the program you wish to install, make sure you phone is connected and active sync is running, Setup will run and it will ask you where you have to install the prog in Memory card or phone memory and you will see notification on your phone for installation
2. .Cab installation You copy the .cab file of any software into memory card and run the cab in your phone, it will ask you to install the program and just follow the on-screen instruction and you will be able to install the program in your phone.

Firstly, make sure that your folder options are set so you are allowed to see the hidden files. To do this, go to any folder and click on Tools, Folder Options, and the View tab. And click on show hidden files and folders.
If you are using Internet Explorer, there is an index.dat file located in your user folder:C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5 In order to see this folder and the index.dat file you either need to be logged in as another user, or type in the above address location into your start menu - run and press enter. It will take you to the content.ie5 folder directly. Otherwise, you'll only get to see your temporary internet files. Make a copy of this index.dat file to your desktop and then change the extension to TXT so you can open and read the urls in notepad.
Also, there is another directory: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Local Settings\History\History.IE5 in which there is another index.dat file and can have more folders with index.dat files in them. Do the same for these files and you'll have your URL list. Depending on how the machine deletes your history, if you can't find your URL, then it may be permanently deleted. you must embed ZPL/CPCL or EPL command to your program.. or use Zebra Designer Pro then connect the .DAT file to it and design your sticker.. 

to enable the MMS service you can do so insert the sim and start the tool Imate configurator, if not present on your device you can download it from official site imate

download Windows Mobile 6.0 from ( Imate.com ) , when you download the file connect the phone with your PC using Microsoft Activesync , then run the rom ( file that u download it ) .
then follow the instruction that will appeare to you on your PC screen AND will Appeare to you in your phone

look sir,
the operating system should be installed from your PC not from the i-mate  
so  you will have to do the following:
A- install microsoft activsync to connect the i-mate to the PC
B- download the windows 6 file
C- connect the i-mate to the PC then open the windows 6 file by double click it , it will guide you to instll the operating system on your device
note:
windows 6 mobile will not properlly work on i-mate jam you will find a problem when you use it,
so my advice is to install the 2003 CE and install all it's updates this will be batter than that

dear johnimate try to save your messeges using the right way that is using the proper sync. by using outlook account and u will download the sms & mms and they will work on the PC
