Just inherited this washer. TROMM LG WM227HW. Has been doing well. Did a load of delicates and noticed that there was some water left in the bottom of the washer after cycle finished. Thought I would look in the a.m. to see if it had drained. Opened the door and water came gushing out. Closed door and did a spin cycle to empty washer. Did a load of towels used to clean up floor and no water in bottom of tub after cycle finished. Did normal cycle. Is this problem only for delicates? What do I do to prevent a future flood?

Hi
It seems something is clogging the drain pump assemblylocated inside the lower front panel of the unit. You have to clean it so thatthis issue doesn't reoccurs.

Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I need to force my lg tromm to drain

My LG Tromm washer has a small door on the bottom left hand side on the front of the washer. Open the door and you will find the drain filter and a stoppered, small rubber tube. Position something to capture the washer water under the small rubber tube and pull the plug.. This will drain all the water from the washer.

Lg tromm front loader will tumble but wont spin

Open the access door at the bottom left corner of your washer. Use the small hose there to drain the remaining water from the machine. Un-screw the big knob next to it and pull out the attached filter. Clean out the filter and re-install. If the filter was clear, replace drain pump motor.

LG TROMM WM2496HSM MILDEW & MUST SMELL

I have had the same problem with mine. I have started taking the rubber seal off at least once a month to clean it with bleach and water. I would not recommend doing this unless you are handy with tools. You might try cleaning the seal with bleach and water while it remains on the machine. Careful to pull the inner sealing lip down to get to the "Slime" behind it. Good Luck

Lg tromm front loader washing machine display panel reading l-E.

error code 'IE' means water does not enter the detergent drawer..if your water is hard or contains traces of lime deposits, the water inlet filter may become clogged..regular cleaning is suggested..clean the filter using hard bristle brush..

note: hard water is the one not undergone any treatment..in other words it is directly from the ground through your water pump and to the washer.

Musty mildew smell

It is the same with all the front load machines out there. I do a bleach load once a week and always leave the door unlatched. All washers always have some water left in them. You can also wipe the gasket down with a weak bleach and water mix on a rag it will help also.
