I have a Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4 manufacture date - Jan 2009 software version - R-BMN-A-E-i-C-D-P-BMM-o Problem: Image ghosting, and bands and shadows showing up on the left half of my screen that have become progressively worse. I can email a youtube video of it if you would like to see problem..though I have read this is a common problem with these displays... Does anyone know of a board replacement that fixes this issue? or in your experience what board or board component might be the cause. any info is greatly appreciated.. [email protected]

This problems only can be two causes.One the 2 long LCD inverter boards have problems,u said left half side,change the left side.If the LCD inverter is change,still have the same problems,this tv it is not worth tries to repair anymore the tv LCD screen panel itself it short and dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those refurbishes long LCD inverter boards.

The ghosting and fluttering is concentrated on the left side.
clear area of screen is lower right corner/quadrant
there are also 3 thin lines through the middle

This problem show up by itself? Lines with colors or not this problems it is alway the T-CON decoders board it is dying,require replacement.This T-CON decoder board sit in the middle at the bottom of the LCD screen panel.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish T-CON decoder board for the replacement.

Three suggestions:

1. Try to hook cable direct without box to see if same problem---ie the box might cause this problem.

2. Check to see if it does it with DVD or when you change active inputs.
3. If number one contact cable provider as box may be your problem.

What's your problem?I have a Sony Bravia 46

this is due to a defect in the lcd panel where the ribbon connectors that connect the panel glass to driver boards have come unbonded. you can flex the panel and makesymptom come and go. panel replacement is the only lasting fix. have a nice dday and thank you for using FiXyA.
