If you look in manual there is a clean setting. You use one cup of bleach and run this cycle, Remember to leave the door open when you are not using it so that it dries out between loads.
compartment 1: Detergent for pre-wash
(powder)
Before pouring in the detergent, make sure that extra compartment 4 has been removed.
compartment 2: Detergent for the wash cycle
(powder or liquid)
Liquid detergent should only be poured in immediately prior to the wash cycle start.
compartment 3: Additives (fabric softeners, etc.)
The fabric softener should not overflow from the grid.
extra compartment 4: Bleach
! Do not use Hand Wash Detergent because it may form too much foam.
Cleaning the detergent dispenser
Remove the dispenser by raising it and pulling it out (see figure).
Wash it under running water; this operation should be repeated
frequently.
The detergent dispenser draw where you put in the detergent has 3 sections. The compartment on the far right is for soaking agents. The compartment on the far left is for wash and stain removers (like bleach). The middle compartment is for fabric softeners, fabric conditioners.
Don't use eucalyptus oil, because it will damage the rubber, and the smell will linger.
The black mould should be wiped off using a damp soft cloth and mild detergent. Diluted bleach (1 part in 10 parts cold water) can also be used, with care (wear gloves); don't use full-strength bleach, because it can damage rubber and corrode metal. Leave the door and detergent drawer open between washes and overnight to keep air circulating through the machine. This will slow down the regrowth of mould. For further improvement, wipe the seal dry after each use of the machine. If your laundry room remains steamy or damp for hours after washing, improve the ventilation
Check your spray arms for pluggage at the slots and the nozzles. If you can remove them, do so and backwash them over the sink. Unplug the slots and nozzles with a toothpick or fine wire. This should also help with dispensing the detergent, but reduce the amount to the least that you can use while still getting the dishes clean. We have cut our detergent usage to about 25%. Also, try to not place tall items where they can block the water spray to the dispensing compartment. Use a good drying agent, and crack the door open when the washer reaches the end of the cycle, as this will help the dishes to continue to dry, and further release the steam, resulting in cleaner dishes. The reduction of the detergent, along with the cleaning of the spray arms will help a lot. I should note here though that I've had to re-clean the arms after what I thought was a most thorough cleaning. Once they are really clean, they'll work better for a long time (usually). Our 2 year old washer just started seeing this problem. After removing the detergent dispenser drawer from the washer, cleaning it and cleaning the slot it came from we stopped seeing water retention.
I had similiar problem, be sure the detergent hose isn't clogged. Mine was clogged where the clear detergent hose entered the pump. I cleared the clog and it worked perfectly
This problem is caused by the compartment not filling up sufficiently to start the siphon action. First ensure that the drawer is clean, especially the siphon tube then, with the drawer removed, check the top of the compartment. You will find various holes that let in the water, make sure these are clean and not blocked with mould. Clean out with mould remover and wire then run a cycle with no washing or softener/detergent in the machine.
use vinegar in cleaning it! soap, as it is made of mostly soda dissolves in vinegar. also vinegar helps remove bad smell on the machine cause by residue dirt from clothes.
I had the same problem with my Bosch Classixx 1200 Express.
It was fixed today & I now know what to do in the future if it happens. The water gets into the soap/ conditioner dispenser drawer via 2 pipes. One points to the main detergent compartment and the other to the pre-wash and conditioner compartments. The pipes become clogged with a type of mould. This meant that in my machine the water was bypassing the conditioner. I had already removed the drawer and cleaned it up and cleaned the jets above with an old tootbrush but it hadn't solved the problem. The repair guy used a cable tie (one of those that is quite firm & will lock) and pushed it up inside the bigger jets. This loosened the black gunge. Then ran water thru from start of the basic cycles and all is now OK
