I may not be having all the detailed information or detailed knowledge of the legal meaning for TBA,MOOT,YMB,JJH. I would refer the seeker to concern any lawful consultant for the same. One will access a very reliable information from the same and may access a good knowledge as well.

The TV will go back to internal sound so that one day some family member of yours does not call the service center complaining there is no sound coming from the TV when you are not home !!!.
Even zoom functions on some TV are like this. To prevent PANIC CALLS !!!.

This is known as SLEEP MODE problem.

Simple solutions:
1. Get a power surge protector / strip.
2. Plug your TV power cord to the power surge.
3.Then turn-on your TV using the remote control. Just in case it won't go all the way to normal state.
4. Turn-off the switch of your power surge like 5 times with an interval of 3-5 seconds.
5. Then repeat step 3 and 4.
6. These step is done to over-ride the sleep mode.

Usually in your menu under picture controls at the bottom, should be a reset option. Most all sets do, especially Samsung. Let me know if you can't find it?

I had the same problem on my 47 inch Westinghoust HDTV. It turned out to be a problem related to my satellite tv (Direct TV) remote controller. Someone inadvertently hit the "format" key and jacked it up. I set back to it's original position and get the full screen. Don't know if you have cable or satellite, but this may help someone having this problem,

I had the same problem with my westinghouse 47 inch HDTV. It turned out that someone had inadvertently hit the "format" key on my satellite (Direct TV) TV remote controller. If you have satellite TV you might want to check this out. I set it back to the previous setting and I get the entire screen. Hope this helps someone.
