I have a GE JTP20BF1BB oven. Today the oven stopped getting hot...Neither the Baking nor Broiling coil gets beyond room temperature. Display appears to function normally...I have turned off the power to hopefully reset it but did not work...I checked the resistance on both coils and they checked good...Any ideas

If the fan assisted cooking programs are the only one not working and the oven is otherwise heating and cooking, then problems can be:

Fan motor.
Wiring harness to fan.
The relay that activates the fan. That is usually part of control module.

If instead the fan oven is not heating at all, then check if problem is with broiling, baking, or with both. If the problem affects both broiling or baking replace the temperature probe. before replacement the probe can be tested using an Ohm meter. The probe will read about 1080 Ohms at room if good.

If problem is only with one of baking/broiling functions, then test elements or valve/ignitors, depending if oven is gas or electric.

If both baking and broiling element do not heath above a certain temperature, then the part to be replaced is the temperature probe, still located inside the oven cavity.

A faulty temperature probe will keep circuit to the heating elements open, affecting both broiling and baking function.

The temperature sensor can be tested removing it from the oven cavity and reading Ohms on the sensor wires. If the circuit is open at room, then the temperature probe must be replaced.

If the part that is not heating is only one element, then you may need to replace the element.
Before replacement the element can be tested removing it from the cavity and reading Ohms at the element terminals, with a multimeter set at Rx1. Disconnect power before removing the element.
In this case, selecting only baking or only broiling (depending on what element is faulty), the oven will work normally.

If the oven is a gas oven, then you have no element. In that case if the oven burners are working, replace the temperature sensor.

If replacing the temperature sensor does not help, then replace the oven electronic control.

On most ovens there is only one temperature sensor, connected in line on the circuit from electronic oven control to baking and broiling element.
When the probe fails, it will affect both baking and broiling function.

The temperature probe is tested reaching the probe, cutting or disconnecting its wiring, and testing the probe at room temperature, with a multimeter set on impedance at Rx1. If the multimeter reads no continuity (circuit open), then the probe must be replaced.

If the temperature probe is good, then parts that may be responsible for the fault are oven electronic control and wiring. Having both elements failing at the same time would be rather unusual.

If only one element is failing, then the fault is probably the element. In that case you can test the element removing it from the cavity, and testing Ohms on the element. If circuit is open , then the element must be replaced.

Possibly the bake igniter, the temperature sensor or the electronic oven clock/control. Does broil mode heat properly or does it run cool also? If broil heats to the proper temperature then the temperature sensor is probably ok. That leaves the ignitor or the controller which takes some more troubleshooting. I was wrong (I think).  the baking element probably was burnt out as the repairman said.  He replaced it and I thought selfclean still wasn't working.  In fact, I think I just had to give the self-clean function more time.  Also, I was judging by smell.  We have become used to a bad odor during self clean which was missing when it was broken and still missing after the repair.  Bottom line, the oven was clean after the baking element was replaced, sans smell.
