I have a Sansui VRDVD4005, I have had it for many years now and was wondering if you could update any drivers on it, and if so, how do I install them or load them onto the DVD/VCR Combo player?

I'm sorry, but the Sansui VRDVD4005 was not designed to be upgraded or updated and Sansui no longer has parts for it. I have seen sites on the internet in the past where this machine was fixed by replacing the DVD drive, (it used a computer dvd drive), but don't have any details on this.
I hope this is helpful to you as you decide what to do next.

I HAVE A SANSUI VRDVD4005 WITH A PIONEER DVR-1060R/XV DVD BURNER. I USED IT FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS AND IT ALWAYS WORKED BUT THEN THE BLANK DISCS I TRYED COULD BE READ. SO I FOUND OUT THAT MY DVD BURNER WAS...

You are in deep doo doo - I have exact same problem and I have experimented with various drives and it appears that the Sansui's electronics are biased so that they only work with a Pioneer unit.

Try to find out who made that drive for Pioneer and obtain one of their comparable units. Maybe that will work. Finding the drive is impossible!!!!!!!!

Won't play DVDs or CDs at all. Reads error code C-104.

Sansui VRDVD4005 will record DVDs provided they are DVD-R NOT DVD+R. I have one of these for 3 going on 4 years and I took it apart and cleaned the dust off the magnetic hub and that worked for awhile but (2-3 months) now I'm having trouble finalizing again. Someone on this site said it needs 8x NOT 16x disks ... 'cause it's an older unit ... I'm checking it out in the users manuel.
