You can format your multimedia card using the external card reader in the Desktop PC or laptop and then use the memory card in your phone.

1. Insert the memory card in a card reader.
2. Connect it to a PC or a laptop.
3. Go to My Computer > Removable Disk
4. Right click on the Removable Disk icon and click on format.
5. This shall format your memory card.
6. Run an anti-virus scan on it in order to fix any possible bugs.

To format your memory card you must have the privilege of admin account in case you are using guest account you can not perform formatting the memory card. Hi, problem can solved.When a memory card says formatted operation failed,it means the memory has been affected with VIRUSin it,thats why it's not given you access to get into it.
What you will need to do is to format it.

You can use your phone to format the memory card by going to the option of the memory card and click on format memory card.
Also you can use a PC to format the memory card by using a memory card reader. insert the memory card inside the card reader and connect to your PC, click on my computer, you will seethe memory card icon displayed, right click on the mouse for options to come up, and click on format memory card and you done.

Note: When trying to format and it does not format the memory card, that means the VIRUS that affected the memory has damaged it totally, that means you will have to get a replacement memory card.

This is a problem due to the memory card IC.The IC has to be replaced .Better contact service centre.If you are familiar with Mobile Circuits you can follow the instruction in the following diagarm.this will solve the problem
