I use mac excel 2004. One of my programs suddenly will not open. the excel loads, and I get the beginning of that loading line, then it stops. All my other excel programs still work. What;s going on?

The program you are trying to load was designed for System 9. The new MAC's will not run both systems. If you can get an upgrade for the product make sure you check the System Requirements. The only other way is to run the software on an older MAC that supports System 9
First make sure there is an "=" sign at the beginning of the formula. If there is and the formula still shows in the cell go to Preferences and click View. Make sure the "Formulas" box under Window Options is not checked.
