"My flash isn't working, I read the manual and did everything it said."
Hmmmmm .....

What does the screen show?
Is the camera on AUTO?

Last resort I guess is to go where you got the camera and ask them.

  • Anonymous Jun 17, 2011

The screen shows everything normal. I'm pretty sure it's on auto but I could be wrong.

The thing is I inherited the camera, the person I got it from died almost 4 years ago, he might have troubled helping.

    Hi
    My apologies.
I wish I knew what to say now.
Perhaps there is a camera store in your area where I'm sure they'll be glad to help you.
Just look helpless and flash them one of your charming smiles.

This can be a hardware issue, failure of the circuit, the flash unit or the LED. In this case it is best to take opinion and support from Nokia care unless you are fully equipped to open and check and evenso the spare could be another issue.get estimate and proceed

My vivitar vivicam X327 only takes black pictures. Everything works but nothing shows up when I take a picture

If you transfer the pics at pc, is the same condition? Black pics in pc? If yes, then isnt the LCD viewer, sound like a malfunctioning CCD-image sensor. Rare, but possible problem with your LCD screenviewer... in both cases (LCD or CCD) this isn't a job that you could solve yourself; this wrong include distorted images or abnormal colors, scratchy purple lines, blank or black pictures, and/or black videos with good sound being recorded on the camera's flash card.

I suggest check THIS LINK for additional details in this previous solutions for an Defective CCD (Charge Coupled Device) and next contact your technical service.
I strongly suggest (taking into consideration the age of your camera) to evaluate the cost of repair versus the cost of a new camera with similar features, before making a final desicion.

Hope this helps

Hello, The flash on my camera isn't working. It does take the picture but comes out dark because there is no flash.

I have been trying to find a solution for hours, and then I found this page - http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/11/simple-fix-for-dead-cameras-that-wont.html

I did what they suggested an removed the memory card before I put in new batteries, apparently it resets some old things that the camera is remembering. I did this, and now it flashes, no problem!

good luck!!

When I am trying to take a picture and press the button to so, I see an "err" and a battery (the batteries are new) message that will not allow me to do so. I have tried taking the battery out...

On these cameras, if you're using ANY of the auto modes (P, A, S on the dial), the lense must be set to the lowest aperture setting (the highest number). Check to make sure this is the case. If it isn't, that's most likely your issue.

If you're using a non-CPU lense, this camera can only be used on M(anual) mode on your dial. If you haven't changed lenses this isn't likely an issue. If however you're using a new (to you) lense, this is a possibility.

According to the manual, the only other possibility is that your attached flash isn't set to the proper setting when using "P" mode. In this mode, the attached flash MUST be a Nikon dedicated flash unit set to TTL mode, otherwise fEE flashes with a little lightning bolt symbol. If you're not using a flash specifically designed for this model, remove it and try again. If you are, cycle the mode button on the flash until it reads "TTL" on the flash's LCD panel.

The manual makes no mention of fEE (error) and the battery indicator blinking, so these are the only things I can suggest with the information given.

My camera won't flash no matter how many new batteries I put in it. It will take pictures that don't require a flash. I've reset everything twice and nothing has worked. Contacts are clean. ...

Some Canon cameras use some of the screws around the perimeter of the camera to serve as a safety switch to prevent activation of the flash if the case is opened. See this article for more info.

My sd 600 wont turn on i even charged it nothing happens

Hi, With how old that model is it's likely that the battery isn't able to hold a charge anymore, I'd suggest buying a new battery to correct the problem.

Did you try to reinitialize? Setup menu go down to the third Setup#1 menu and make sure you click OK to reinitialize. That's what the manual said.
