LG 25 side by side m# lsc26905tt Ice maker not making ice: Changed out master water filter for frig Depressed, held and released reset button on ice tray dispensing mechanism. Turned off and on the ice maker power switch. Currently there is ice in the tray, but ice maker has not dumped the load, so to speak. No frozen water in water dispensing tube, when I look into the tube I see darkness at the end of the tube, kind of like I am feeling right now, LOL. As red green would say, if the women don't find you handsome they will sure find you handy..... Please help

if an LG easiest thing is try defrosting... also sounds like the water filter is due to be replaced.

Is there ice in the ice maker? If there is frozen ice in the ice maker, ice maker is probably faultily.

Ice Maker Repair

When I had this problem the water was coming from the top right rear where the water tube feeds the ice maker. The water line INSIDE the frig that feeds the ice maker occasionally freezes up causing an obstruction which causes the water to leak out the rear. This can only happen when the icemaker activates the water feed. You can remove the tube fitting without fear because the valve that feeds water through the line is at the bottom rear of the unit. If the line is frozen inside I remove the ice bin and tray and use a hair dryer to melt the ice.
I have a similar problem with the condenser fan making a tapping/clacking noise which is also a result of ice building up on that. Wish I had a different frig but for now the hair dryer will have to do.

Maybe the filter is not installed correctly. Take it out and re-install it. I suppose the water valve is on. Of course, the fact that the ice maker is not working may be just coincidence. Put some water in the ice maker, wait some hours and see if it will push the ice out. If it does, that tells you that the ice maker does work. Let me know if you need more help.

keep the shut ARM DOWN POSITION

usually there is a reset button on the fridge that needs to be pushed.you may also try and unplug the unit for a few minutes

Most refrigerators dont have one, Usually you can install on in the supply line. If there was on it might be behind the frig

there may be some thing stuck in the ice machine try checking it out

I have the same problem. The repair people replaced the control board, but it did not fix the problem.

You may have a problem with the computer control board in the ice maker.  Try this.  Turn off the icemaker for about 2 minutes.  
Turn on the ice maker and press the clear button.  Press and hold this button for 12 seconds to get it to force extract.  This will confirm that the motors will work and push the ice cubes out.  Afterwards, let it run by itself.  If it still doesn't make ice, you will need to replace the icemaker.
